In honor of my 100th post today (woo hoo!), I thought I would share some not so interesting items about myself:
1. I was born in 1971
2. Until a few years ago, I thought I was born in the year of the Boar
3. But because my birthday is before the Chinese New Year, I was technically born in the year of the Dog
4. I was raised Catholic by my single mom
5. I am the middle child of three kids
6. The only concert I went to in HS was INXS
7. Depeche Mode, U2, The Cure and Madonna were my favorite bands back then
8. I have never had a cavity. Even on my baby teeth.
9. I’ve never had braces
10. For those reasons, I love going to the dentist
11. I’m addicted to spa treatments.
12. I have always lived on the West Coast.
13. I have never been to any of the big East Coast cities like Chicago, New York or Boston
14. I am short. Only 5’ 4”
15. George W. scares me. The sound of his voice is so annoying.
16. I did not vote for him. I think I was the only person in my town who didn’t.
17. I paint my nails once a week.
18. I guess I’m a girlie-girl. Okay, I’m a VERY girlie-girl.
19. But I’m not afraid to get dirty.
20. Failing as a mother is my biggest fear.
21. But the job is so hard. I’m pretty sure I suck at it.
22. I like to shop as much as the next girl. My weaknesses are purses, shoes & makeup
23. I used to wear size 6 shoes, now I wear a 6.5 or 7
24. I have yet to find a gray hair (knock on wood)
25. But tiny lines are forming around my eyes
26. Getting old is the pits
27. I don’t have any tattoos
28. I used to have a small one on my finger
29. But I had it laser removed because it looked more like dirt than a tattoo
30. It was a little sign for Capricorn
31. If you believe in Astrology, I am a true Capricorn
32. I was a virgin until I was 18
33. My current husband broke up with me when I was 16 and he was 17 because I wouldn’t have sex with him.
34. He found someone else who would. But he says he loved me more than her.
35. I have forgiven his teenage hormones for that.
36. I got married the first time when I was 19
37. Big mistake
38. The only thing good out of that was my two older girls
39. The second time I got married, I was 28
40. I didn’t want to get married
41. Not because I wasn’t in love and committed, just because I thought it was an unnecessary formality
42. So I did it for my husband, who thought we should be proper about it
43. My husband can’t walk past me without touching me
44. Just a brush of his hand against mine
45. And no matter how mad he is at me, he still tells me he loves me and thinks I’m beautiful
46. His dad died suddenly when he was 17
47. And he didn’t have the chance to tell him those things
48. So he never leaves anything unsaid
49. Which can be annoying at times. He’s ALWAYS talking.
50. I hate being in the car for too long
51. Road trips are a nightmare for me
52. I don’t communicate well
53. I keep my feelings inside, pretending to be okay even if I’m not

55. And then I clean the house with fury
56. There’s nothing like scrubbing the tub when you’re pissed off
57. I’m not a good cook
58. But I’m a good organizer
59. Everything has it’s place in my house
60. And I go crazy when my family doesn’t put things away
61. I can be a real bitch
62. But I try to control myself

67. When I was pregnant, I would eat the WHOLE pre-packed quart
68. I am a news junkie
69. I check news websites about 10 times a day while I’m at work

99. Half a glass of wine and I'm all red and blotchy
100. If you made it this far, you're my new best friend.
Yippee!! I'm your new best friend. I like reading stuff like that. Reading the rambling thoughts of others makes me feel like I might be normal after all.

We're about 50% very much alike and 50% very much different. No wishy-washy maybes.

Hey, I'm going to Boston on July 31st. Your husband sounds so romantic. Is he a hottie? I feel like I know you better already. And...Italy is my dream vacation. soon, soon...

I am short and 5'4" too. Dave (my husband) always asks me if I want the "Gatica" surgery. You know the one where they cut your leg bones, hook up a device to both legs, then each day you turn this screw that opens the gap between the bones ever so slightly so that you can lengthen your bones as the heal.
Now, he is just kidding. I think.

Ok I guess I will say it too...I am so much like you! AHAHAHAHAHaHA...but really, reading all those comments before mine...who isn't? :) But...I have to say...(I love ya, you know I do, right?) that Chicago is not an east coast city, it's in the midwest...my destination in 3 days!!!! You are my queen because you travel on planes and are not afraid!!! There's our big difference! And hey, I am 5'4 and a half and I think I'm tall!! :) And 2faced is full of shit, I've known her for 20 years and she has the messiest house ever...no organization, no mini van, no scrubbing the tub, she is nothing like you! But then by those standards neither am I! AHAHAhAHAHAAHAHA... that was fun...Happy 100th, thanks for being one of my best blogger buddies! :)

Well, I made it to #100. And, we've got about every other item in common. Although, I am a gigantasaurous 5 foot 11 incher and I wear size 10 shoes. And I'm a good cook. Oh, okay, so I don't drive a minivan.
Oh, and I thought the same thing about Chicago. Sorry, midwest.
I wish you were my next door neighbor so we could get together, and talk about how we'd love to bitch slap that evil S.O.B. George Dubya Bush, with our freshly painted nails, all while we're getting drunk off half a glass of wine.
